Almost all of you notice a faint bending of shadows along the walls of the plaza.
the pong of lizard or snake wafts on the light breeze
As you draw back on your bow... several figures seem to step out of the haze before the gate of the Tower.
These.. for lack of a better word.. tiny dragonmen, are dark scaled with bright yellow patterns, like you would expect on a pit viper.
The largest (no more than 3 feet tall) Brandishes a short staff with a strange skull attached, and the cloak seems to billow out into a large set of wings.
In a sibbulent voice the large bat winged thing says "Givess It, Reternss It, Dies Thievesss"
All 9 of his scaly companions rush in short spears ready.

Yes you lean into the side of the wall and gain 50% cover.
The Scaled creature begins waving it's staff above its extended wings a faint purple glow emanating from the eyeless sockets of the skull staff

{OOC - I have to go to bed, but if you guys are gonna keep playing I relinquish Tommy to the DM or anyone who wants to drive him beyond the following actions:
I'm trying to sneak up behind the magic user to use Sneak Attack (+1d6) on him from Stealth (+4 to hit, with advantage) with the bronze dagger, possibly invoking some kind of anti-magic effect and dealing 1d4+2+1d6 damage on a hit. I'll use a bonus action to attack with one of my mundane daggers in my offhand (I believe that will be +0 to hit, 1d4+0 damage on a hit).
After that it's open season. I have a +7 to persuasion and a +3 to Intimidation if you feel like getting chatty.
