Demetyr is an orphan with no memory of his childhood. Matured in the slums of whichever city he managed to gain travel to, he naturally gravitated toward the darker aspects of a life without order. During a particularly violent heist, he was detained by a retired military commander caught up in the fighting and forced to work off his debt to society on his estate. The commander sensed great potential in the uncouth Teg and taught him much about honor and the ways of the world. Five years into his servitude, Demetyr was awakened in the night by a raging fire in his master's living quarters. He was barely able to retrieve his mentor's burnt and broken body from the flames, and as he watched him die in his arms he swore vengeance against the very life of organized hatred and injustice he had been raised by.
