Braigwen lowers her longbow, glaring at the creatures from under her olive cloak hood. Keeping her hood raised she approaches the group of males. She notices that they are all shackled and shaken, much like she was when she first awoke. She makes sure to lower her weapon further and approach slowly in an attempt to soothe them.
"My apologies, gentlemen. Had I thought you might need more assistance, I would have made my presence know earlier. I am Braigwen. Might any of you know how we came to be here?"

Thanan stands up using his rod for support, draws his dagger reflexively as he notices the woman and her bow. Though he calms after he notices a similar dangling chain attached to her wrist as well. He scoffs.
"No but I'm overjoyed to find out you don't either." He says sarcastically. Thanan dusts the wet sand off of himself and then continues, "Sigh, rather than apologizing, how about you help us search these bodies. Whatever happened to these poor souls might have something to do with us."
Thanan then takes a deep breath and steadied himself from the brunt force of that attack. Thanan uses a hit dice to heal himself. I rolled for 7 hp, bringing me back up to full.

JPLFkkgu plus 4 dex saving throw. I pick myself up and brush myself off if necessary.
I think that's all of them? If it is I say: "Lovely to meet you, now give me a hand over here, please." He puls some rope out of his backpack and starts to tie up the sleeping slaver - I still have a couple of rounds as long as I don't do him damage. "Little help? I have some pointed questions and snarks comments for this one; I'd rather do the talking with him secure, eh?"
If there's still a fight I use my action to give bardic inspiration to Thanan (1d6 dice to be added to whichever roll you choose).

Braigwen lowers her cloak and proceeds to help in securing and searching the bodies of the creatures. "By all means. It will be most entertaining to see how he reacts to being a captive of captives."

Once the slaver is secure, I want to stop his mouth up so he can't speak. I ask Galaidin and Braigwen to stand over him and keep careful watch.
I head over to the cage (passive perception 13) and speak with the other prisoners in it. I want to persuade them to tell me everything they know about their captors, where they've been taken from and whether they have overheard anything about this strange chain that we found on Thanan - "Thanan, show them your weird chain.".
Persuade of Sbj8VisZ plus 5.

In a mixture of broken common and Tarnish you learn that this ship was carrying conscripts to the Empire. They tell you about a strange storm and the ship foundering on this small atoll.
They tell you also that the creatures are called Tieflings and Cambions and that they are the new ruling peoples of the empire and something about a pact made to save the empire and somethings called Warlock Lords that seem to have control of the empire now.
As for the chain, they raise their arms and you see a similar chain, except, where yours is a broken link they have a small green gem that glows faintly. They explain that the gem magically binds you to an overseer and that as long as the gem glows, the overseer still lives and can command you to obey. When the overseer is killed if his bracelet is not claimed then the gem shatters and the conscript is free from magical control.
No one seems to know how to remove the bracelet but they think an overseer may know how. All of the captives still have glowing gems.
